Brands Hatch Circuit
Brands Hatch race circuit information
Brands Hatch has been used for motor racing since before the war. Originally a motorcycle dirt track the circuit was surfaced in 1949 and pressed into use as a car track. It quickly became the home of 500cc Formula 3 racing and did not stage a full-blown World Championship race until 1964 when Jim Clark won in dominant style in what was a hat-trick of British Grand Prix wins.
Brands Hatch is on the A20 London to Maidstone road and 20 miles south east of London, it can be accessed from junction 3 of the M25. Brown tourist information signs clearly indicate the simplest route from all major roads around Brands Hatch. Once on the M20, leave at the 1st junction then join the A20 heading NW towards Brands Hatch
